About Me
Hi, my name is Christelle M. Kongolo.
I’ve been in love with writing since I was 11 years old, back in the Democratic Republic of Congo. My little notebooks now having made their way across the ocean to Canada, hold some of my best quotes and poems, written with an authentic and heartfelt pen.
Reading has always been my daily escape, and it’s also helped me navigate different paths in life. As I grew, my curiosity led me into studies in conflict studies and human rights at the University of Ottawa, and later into project management at the University of Québec in Outaouais. But through it all, writing has been my constant companion, helping me make sense of everything.
In 2020, I published my first collection of poetry and quotes, Les émotions entrecroisées where I shared the emotions that fill our lives: love, nostalgia, joy, healing, fear, and everything in between.
Then, in September 2024, I released my second book, Les Roses Ont Des Épines and Roses Have Thorns. In this collection, I’m unfiltered, raw, and vulnerable. I speak to you from the heart, and I invite you to explore the book to discover more.
